Routine gas sterilisation is recommended for all end fittings. Steam sterilisation and disinfection is acceptable.

NB.
The end of the fibre optic cable should never be placed on or under curtains or other materials whilst the light source is activated. The intensity of the light may cause burns to the patient or ignite the fabric. Use of standard light source is recommended. The warranty is invalid if the light source is not protected by heat filters.

WARNING – PATIENT RISK: Please check your optics size on scope. When ordering your light guide cable, please note that the small size diameter 3.5mm should only be used on small scopes and the larger diameter 4.8mm should only be used on larger diameter scopes. You risk burning out your endoscope, if you use a thick light cable with a thin endoscope. As a basic guide, 3.5mm diameter cable should be used with a smaller scope (4mm with 3.5mm optics) and a 4.8mm light guide cable should be used with a larger scope (10mm with 4.8mm optics).
